Shiawassee County Chapter #399 had another outstanding year in habitat projects! With over $35,000 in investments, members were able to plant over 1,800 acres of grasses and small grains throughout the county, providing nesting, cover, and good for our feathered friends and many other animals including butterflies and honey bees. Members also planted 1,500 Norway Spruce, 500 Speckled Alder trees, and 250 flowering and berry shrubs.

These remarkable numbers gained PF #399 recognition at the Michigan Pheasants Forever State Convention in Lansing. Awards included the Nesting and Cover Achievement Award, Trees and Shrubs Award, Acre Maker Award, and the much sought-after Habitat Champion Award. All of these efforts were made possible through generous donations and passionate, dedicated habitat enthusiasts in and around Shiawassee County. Congratulations and thank you to everyone for your continued support and remarkable efforts for making all of this possible!
